Orbit walks your team through the setup process: scan the space, place anchors, bind tags and validate coverage. Anchors act as fixed reference points, while tags are attached to the assets, people or equipment you want to track.

Live location and movement alerts

See tagged items move across your facility in real time. Create rules for zones, dwell time or unauthorised movement, and receive alerts when something leaves, enters or remains in an area for too long.

Low-maintenance tags and anchors

MeshTrack devices are designed for long operational life, with low-power tags and battery-powered anchors that reduce day-to-day maintenance. Your team can focus on operations instead of constantly replacing or charging devices.

Go back to the moment something happened.

Every location update, zone entry, exit and dwell event is recorded, giving your team a clear movement history. Use Replay to investigate missing items, confirm process flow, review safety incidents or understand how people and equipment moved through a space. You can review events slowly for detail or speed through movement history to identify patterns.

Open Orbit, sign in to your MeshTrack account and select the site, building or floor you want to set up.

Scan the space

Walk through the area with your phone so Orbit can help create a working floor layout. Walls, openings and obstacles are captured as you move through the space.

Place anchors and scan QR codes

Install anchors at the recommended positions, then scan each QR code in Orbit. Anchors act as fixed reference points that help MeshTrack calculate tag locations.

Bind tags to assets, people or equipment

Scan a tag and assign it to the item, person, vehicle or piece of equipment you want to track. Add names, photos, custodians or custom fields where needed.

Step 5 · Live

Validate coverage and go live

Orbit checks the setup and confirms coverage before live tracking begins. Once validated, location data starts flowing into the MeshTrack dashboard.

Orbit helps your team install and validate MeshTrack without needing a specialist deployment team on site. The app guides the process from room scan to anchor placement, coverage checks and final validation.

    Room scanning

    Use your phone to scan the space and create a working floor layout. Orbit helps identify walls, openings and obstacles so the system understands the environment where tracking will happen.

    Anchor placement and QR pairing

    Place anchors in the recommended positions, then scan each QR code to pair the device with the floor layout. Orbit links the physical anchor to its digital position.

    Coverage checking

    Orbit shows whether the tracking area has strong, borderline or weak coverage, helping your team correct anchor placement before the system goes live.

  • 04

    Live validation

    Walk the route suggested by Orbit so the system can test positioning accuracy in real conditions. This helps confirm that the site is ready for reliable tracking.

The hardware

Three devices. That's the whole kit.

MeshTrack uses a simple hardware layer: gateways, anchors and tags. Gateways connect the site to the platform, anchors provide fixed reference points and tags are attached to the assets, people or equipment you want to track. Your kit is configured for your site and shipped to your door, ready to set up with the Orbit app.

Gateway

The gateway connects your physical site to the MeshTrack platform. It receives location data from nearby tags and anchors, then sends that data securely to the cloud or your selected deployment environment. In many layouts, one gateway per building floor is sufficient, depending on the site design and coverage requirements.

Reference point

Anchor

Anchors are fixed reference points placed around your tracking area. They help MeshTrack calculate where each tag is in relation to the mapped space. During setup, your team places the anchor, scans its QR code and links it to the correct position in Orbit.
